7 Pieces of Content to Connect with your Customers
Struggling to come up with content to share with your audience? Whether it be snippets for social media, or newsworthy items for your website blog, having a pool of content ready to schedule and share makes your communications strategy smooth and stress free.
When you think you don’t have any engaging news to share – often you do!
Here are just a few of the items you can share with just a little bit of preparation:
1. Before & Afters
Have you recently completed a project you are proud of? Customers love to visually see you transform a project. Whether this be a tiling job in a bathroom, or a logo redesign, share your projects with your audience detailing how you managed challenges and achieved a great result for a client. Better yet, turn this into a case study and share a more in-depth feature on your blog.
2. Share Your Successes
Don’t be afraid to share your wins! Your customers want to know when you succeed. Whether you have completed a challenging job, received a big order, or are expanding into a new warehouse for example, these are all great pieces of positive information to share with your customers.
3. Product Reviews
Never assume that your customers (or potential customers) understand your product or service and all that it can offer them. Break down what you do and highlight why it is superior to other solutions on the market. Sometimes you need to brag about your product to get a new client over the line.
4. Testimonials
If you get great feedback from a service or product, be sure to share it. This can come in various forms, whether you have received a nice message following a job, or a Google review. Ask for permission from the client to share this on social media. Better yet, feature a testimonials section on your website to feature your best reviews. This can validate you as a business and instil confidence with respective customers.
5. Debunk Common Myths About Your Industry or Product
Start a caption with “Did you know...?” and you have interest almost straight away. Offer information on your products and processes and welcome questions and feedback. Treat social media like a two-way conversation and you are on your way to increasing your engagement. Ask your social media followers what they would like to know about you and your business and turn this into a Q&A for a blog. Break down that blog into small snippets for social media stories and posts for further bite sized pieces of information.
6. Profile a Team Member
Do you have a new team member? Or perhaps you are the person behind the brand and you have a bunch of new followers? Introduce yourself or a team member with a photo and caption with a bio on who you are, what you do for the business, and what you love about the business. If you have a small team, or a team of 20, you can profile each team member and share this over time as a weekly campaign.
7. Industry News
If there is something happening in your industry, a change in a regulation, code or council constraint, be sure to share this on your platform. Position yourself as an authority amongst your peers with your finger on the pulse of industry changes and regulations. Be sure to cover how this might affect your customers, and also, how you will overcome this to reassure your customers that it’s business as usual. An example of this has been how covid has impacted businesses in the past. Communication is key!
These are just 7 easy to share pieces of information that your social media followers can effortlessly digest. Keep this on hand next time you get stuck for content!
